Grape: Chardonnay, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc). Region: Austria> Burgenland> Neusiedl am See. Notes: Bio-dynamic farming, unfined/unfiltered, wild yeast, very low sulfites, orange wine.
Description: Alexander and Maria Koppitsch took over their family winery in 2011. Located on rolling hills of limestone and sandy soils between Neusiedl Lake and Leitha Mountains. Grapes are hand harvested and destemmed. Fermented on the lees with zero additives.
Cloudy with rusty orange color. Airy aromas of citrus and lemon-butter. The palate displays brine, hops, and bright lemon-citrus character. Toward the finish the wine has a lovely green tea leaf and oyster broth character. This is a wine that doesn't need to be to cold.
